Rare Blue Diamonds on display at NYC museum

New York City Museum displays some of the rarest blue diamonds in the world.

Wittelsbach Graff Diamond is the main highlight of this collection. This 31.06 carats was discovered in India in later 17th Century. The diamond is a Fancy Deep Blue colored with Internally flawless clarity.
The diamond originally weighed 35.56 carats. The Wittelsbach diamond was purchased by Lawrence Graff in 2008 for $24.3 million, who got the diamond re – cut and that is how the diamond got its present name and size.

The Lakers new Championship Diamond Ring

Celebrating their 16^th championship this week, Los Angeles Lakers receive a handsome diamond at a ceremony at the Staples Center. The even saw many celebrities such as David Beckham, Phil Jackson and Justin Bieber.

The ring has been created by Jason of Beverly Hills. The ring has many interesting details to it, such as leather from Game 7 set inside the ring, two trophies signifying of their consecutive victories and 16 brilliant white diamonds symbolizing the 16 Lakers Championship.
CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills said, "More than any other year, this year's ring allows the owner to relive and own a piece of Lakers' history with the leather from the Game 7 ball."

Rosario Dawson – Distracting Creases

Actress Rosario Dawson was seen this Tuesday at the premier of the movie ‘Unstoppable’. The actress was dressed in a blue off shoulder Stella McCartney which was paired with a stunning diamond dangling earring. Her look would have been just perfect, had those uncomfortable creases on her dress would not distracted.

Maria Sharapova’s Diamond Engagement Ring

The Tennis star Maria Sharapova got recently engaged to her long time beau Lakers Team member Sasha Vujacic.



Sharapova was seen yesterday with her fiancé in Los Angeles flashing a serious diamond engagement ring. The ring is estimated to be about $250,000.



Jewelry Expert Michael O’Connor was quoted in UsMagazine.com saying, “The ring makes a statement. It’s no wonder why Maria is smiling in the photos.”
The ring is guessed to have a 7 –8 carat cushion cut diamond crafted in a split shank platinum band.
